Anvil
An Anvil is a workbench equipped with the tools needed to make swords, shields and traps.
A smithy is a place with an anvil, where you can exercise your Blacksmithing and create the desired weapons, armor, shields or traps from the appropriate recipe and ingredients.
These smithies can be found at fixed locations in Aventuria. For 50 ducats you can ask Caretaker Muddlemosh to install an anvil in the garden in Ardo's Residence.
